The Sounders Women took down ISC Gunners and look to take top spot over PACNW-OSA

With the top spot on the line in the WPSL Northwest Division, the Sounders Women traveled to ISC Gunners on June 27th and took home three points with a score of 5-2 in Issaquah.   The win sets up a must win game on Saturday, June 30th versus OSA at Starfire Sports in Tukwila, Washington.

In the 9th minute versus ISC Gunners, the Sounders Women scored on a goal by Mireya Grey with Pascale Dumensil assisting.  Almost immediately, Dumensil found one of her own to make the game 2-0.  Kristin Hayman then scored for the host Gunners making the game 2-1 for the Sounders Women.  The game would go into half time at 2-1.

The second half started with a goal from Gina Crosetti in the 54th minute to put the Sounders Women up for good at 3-1 then Isabella Dorosy scored on an assist from Jess Udovich.   At 4-1, the Sounders Women were cruising.  Kellyn Green found a counter goal in the 84th minute for the Gunners then Nia Gordon finished off the fireworks for the Sounders Women late to give the game a final score line of 5-2.

The Saturday tilt between Sounders Women and PACNW-OSA pits two teams at 4-0-1 and leading the WPSL NW Division.   This game will likely decide which team represents the NW Division at the Western Conference Championships.  Emma Pringle leads PACNW-OSA with 4 goals and both teams will come into the game ready to take the coveted first place position.
